hm im apparently in the mood for older fandoms ive been in today
but ahh yes, I have quite a rant/explanation thing ok? ok.

//CLEARS THROAT

Eridan and Feferi. Dear sweet fucking lord did the fandom misinterpret these fucks and what went down between them (and also sollux i guess).

Okay, so Eri-dear was red for Feferi so he didn't really do much for being pale, when that was what they were; moirails.
Eridan was an uncooperative and just a flat out shitty moirail, and Feferi tried her hardest to keep him in check, make sure he didn't hurt himself, and it took up all of her fucking energy. So what did she do? She broke the moirallegiance off. Eridan took the chance to try and have a red-arrangement made, and she shot him down nicely.

Any dense fucks who hate Feferi for that reason specifically, need to learn to hate a character for a legitimate reason.

THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS TOXIC AS FUCK. THAT'S WHY SHE ENDED THE MOIRALLEGIANCE, SO WHY IN THE HELL WOULD SHE AGREE TO BE HIS MATESPRIT? I SHIP ERIFEF BUT IT WAS NOT A GOOD RELATIONSHIP. SHE BROKE FREE OF A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP. IS THAT BAD? N O.

Now that I'm done with that part of my rant, let's get to the next part: Eridan killing Feferi.

He didn't kill Feferi/KO Sollux out of jealousy
IT WASN'T OUT OF JEALOUSY.

It's literally canon that Eridan said he respected their relationship, and appreciated the fact that Feferi was still friends with him.

Anyways, when Sollux and Eridan were being assholes and starting shit with eachother, Feferi THEATENED TO KILL ERIDAN.
It got to the point where SOLLUX started a fight, and Eridan knocked him out. Feferi thought that Eridan had killed Sollux, and bitch stayed true to her words she was ready to impale his purple-ass with her trident, she was going to kill him, and underestimated him. Eridan killed her out of self-defense for gods sake.

So no, Eridan didn't murder their asses because he was angry about being 'friendzoned'. Self defense. SELF DEFENSE.

Also to add in, trolls are naturally aggressive so yeah.
